FAITH · FAMILY · FUTURE
The mission of St. Columban school is to empower students to be ambassadors of the Catholic faith and prepare them to think critically, compassionately, and globally for the 21st century. Our rigorous curriculum is built to prepare students for the future and accommodates students of varying academic ability.
St. Columban offers a “response to intervention” program, literacy, math, speech and language specialists, psychologists and academic support for EVERY grade. Additionally, students participate in Spanish, Music, Art, on-campus Library, and Physical Education.
We Celebrate Academic Excellence
Our students performed among the highest in the Archdiocese and nationally on the 2018 Iowa Standard Tests in Math and Language Arts.
Additionally, of the students from the class of 2018 who took the State of Ohio Algebra 1 test, 100% placed in the top two categories - Accelerated and Advanced.
We take great pride in our thoughtfully guided curriculum providing essential skill development, enhanced academic milestones, and activities that celebrate the students' progress.
We recognize the importance of technology for students today. Each classroom is equipped with smart boards and computers (desk top, laptops and/or tablets) which are used across the curriculum. Students learn typing and basic software functions as early as 3rd grade and by 4th grade begin integration into Google Classroom. 6th through 8th grade students participate in the 1:1 tablet program providing them with computer skills and experiences to be best prepared for their future academic years.
