FAITH Â· FAMILY Â· FUTURE

The Parent-Teacher Organization is a vital link of communication between the home and school. This important group promotes goodwill and cooperation within the school community. Through volunteer efforts, fundraisers, and other activities, the P.T.O. gives support to the faculty and principal and provides special programs and materials for the school children.

Parents are urged to join and take an active part in the P.T.O. Some of the many ways to volunteer include participation in the Library and Cafeteria, Hospitality, After-School Programs, Playground volunteer, and Box Tops and Kroger Rewards Programs to name just a few.

General Assembly meetings are usually held four times per year.

INVOLVEMENT & VOLUNTEERING

Whether as room parent, cafeteria, library, playground or classroom volunteers, coach, chaperone or committee member, our volunteers play a key role in the success of our school.  Parent and grandparent volunteers have a first-hand opportunity to see their child’s daily activities and interactions, meet their teachers and friends and have an active role in their child’s school environment.

St. Columban school, along with the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, complies with The Decree on Child Protection which requires Safe Parish participation and electronic background checks for all volunteers.  To register visit safeparish.com .  When training is complete and the background check approved, verification will be sent to St. Columban parish.  Volunteers must stay up to date on the videos sent by email quarterly.

Sign up for volunteer opportunities around school on the private Sign-Up Genius below.   New volunteers can be added to the site by contacting ptoforstc@gmail.com.
