It's hard to believe that the first day of school is only two weeks away! Hopefully, you have had time to refresh and are almost ready to return with us at St. Columban. We look forward to welcoming students back and feeling the energy that comes with the new school year. We have a few updates and reminders we want to communicate before we begin our weekly newsletters next Wednesday.
EdChoice Income Verification
Thank you all for your patience as we get the Ed Choice applications submitted. We are excited to see so many families taking advantage of this opportunity to help with the costs of a Catholic education. The Ohio Department of Education has created a new document to help with some issues and frequently asked questions regarding the Income Verification process. If you haven't done the Income Verification yet, please take a look at the attached document before you begin. ODE has also added a reference sheet regarding income eligibility for the expansion scholarship, which you can also find attached to this email. As a reminder, in order for the office to process all of the applications before the deadline and ensure you receive the full scholarship amount you qualify for, please have all paperwork submitted to the school office by September 15th. Ice Cream Social
We are looking forward to the PreK & Kindergarten Ice Cream Social on Monday, August 14. Parents are asked to take their students directly to the PreK or K classrooms. We are grateful to our PTO members that have put in the time and effort for the back to school events this month.
Packet Pickup & Class Lists
Each family will have a packet to pick up after weekend masses on August 12-13 and August 19-20. You may also pick up during office hours (7:30-3:30 beginning 8/14) Monday-Friday. These packets will have paperwork that must be turned in before the first day of school. Class lists and teacher assignments will also be available to view.
Back to School Kickoff and BBQ Blast
The Knights of Columbus are once again hosting the BBQ Blast to kick off the school year. Join us on August 21st from 5:30-7:30 for dinner, meet the teachers and representatives from the many organizations that provide benefits to our students such as PTO, Boosters, Milford Nutrition and many more. You may also drop off paperwork from the packets to the office.
